Cookware Set
Buying cookware set can be confusing and unpleasant, especially if you want to mix and match various types such as cast iron, non-stick and stainless steel. The company Great Jones presented the opportunity to establish themselves as the go-to cookware set for a millennial audience. An accessible direct-to-consumer 6 pieces set using quality materials and a touch of colored enamel. The design and ergonomics are the result of a deep user based research.

Initial CAD concepts
Presenting a curvature continuous from the lid to the pan, the chosen direction for the skillet n.3 offers a bold loop handle design, a round, soft and overall light weight aesthetic.

CAD refinements
I explore multiple directions for the skillet handle in order to find the best ergonomics for optimal comfort in the palm of the hand. During this next step, I gather a group of experienced NYC Chefs to test the light weight 3D printed mockups.

Final handle design
Incorporating feedback and improvements from the testing phase. The final ergonomics varies from a thin cross section for heat dissipation to a rounder cross section for optimal palm comfort.

Full weight prototype
The final set is composed of a cast iron enameled dutch oven, ceramic coated stainless steel skillet sharing same lid with the sauce pan, a deep saute sharing same lid with the stock pot, and a baking sheet.
