In the landscape of wireless charging, this client wanted to focus on high quality materials. Design an elegant system of three wireless batteries which would dock to a stationary charging tray destined to live in a high end home, bar and hotel environments.

I explore a wide range of concepts to finally rest on the two directions below. Both using machined marble and taking advantage of the smooth and dense feel of the material.
A ‘mother-ship’ tray topped with three portable QI wireless charging batteries using materials not typically associated with wireless charging technology. A die cast aluminum piece frames a thin sheet of machined marble for a full circular portable battery.
